These courses have been developed to give technicians and craftsmen a working knowledge of the use and application of PC’s to manufacturing processes, at three levels:

Level 1 assumes no previous knowledge of programmable controllers and is suitable for both electrical and mechanical trainees.

Level 2 is a continuation for delegates who have attended a Level 1 course or who have a basic understanding of programmable controllers. It is also offered as a revision course. A City & Guilds 6396-01 (updated by C & G from 2274) Programmable Controllers Certificate is achieved on successful completion.

Level 3 is an advanced course for trainees who require a greater in-depth knowledge of programmable controllers. Suitable delegates will already have a City & Guilds 6396-01 pass or similar. Delegates who have a good knowledge of Programmable Controllers would find the programme useful.

At all levels there is an emphasis on the application of the PLC to fault finding procedures.

Customised Courses can be developed to meet your specific needs. PROFIBUS, DH+ and Phoenix Interbus solutions have already been written and delivered.
