Business Improvement Techniques

MCP’s unique workshop-based Business Improvement Techniques NVQ at level 2 and 3 is ideal for team leaders, middle managers and operators in manufacturing, maintenance and engineering and provides them with the tools and techniques to:

  • Improve efficiency
  • Reduce cost
  • Improve quality in the organisation.  

Aims

The BIT programme will provide candidates with the ability to identify and eliminate all non value activity, which in turn will significantly improve efficiency and overall business performance.   Success in todays’ marketplace demands that everybody in the company, from shopfloor to topfloor is empowered to identify and eliminate wasteful activity in order to make significant improvements in performance.

Content of programme


NVQs are achieved through assessment and training. Assessment is normally through on-the-job observation and questioning. Candidates produce evidence to prove they have the competence to meet the NVQ standards.  Candidates must complete a number of mandatory assessment routes plus one or more optional assessment routes, these can include:

  • Applying Continuous Improvement techniques (Kaizen)
  • Applying Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Identifying the 7 wastes in a company
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Process Mapping analysis
  • Carrying out potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Workshops

To support the NVQ qualification MCP deliver 3 workshops designed to meet your specific learning requirements.  These workshops are delivered by experienced MCP Consultants, and are followed by individual assignments

Qualification

An accredited award in Business Improvement Techniques NVQ at Level 2, 3 and 4 from EAL (Emta Awards Limited).
